Tracy is a qualified marketer and experienced business manager with over 25 years' experience working in the visitor industry. She has an in-depth knowledge of the drivers of the visitor economy and experience in leading the development of stakeholder engagement, regional destination management and marketing plans.
Tracy led RTO Destination Marlborough for 8 years, and prior to that worked for Tourism New Zealand both onshore and offshore including representing the organisation nationally as the Industry Communications Manager. Tracy has contributed to a number of industry forums and committees during this time including two terms as a Tourism New Zealand Appointed Director of VIN Inc. the i-SITE Visitor Information Network.
Based in Marlborough, Tracy now contributes to TRC Tourism project teams to provide destination management and product development advice and support to regions and businesses looking to take advantage of the growth of the visitor economy.
Kylie is an experienced tourism marketing specialist with over 20 years’ working in the tourism sector. Kylie has an extensive portfolio of knowledge related to international and regional trade marketing, visitor strategy development, event management, stakeholder relationship management and small business management. She has a passion and expertise in values-based tourism, specifically Māori and Indigenous tourism experiences.
Kylie too worked at Tourism New Zealand for 9 years. Based on this experience, she has developed a training methodology to assist Māori and non-Māori operators in creating narrative and stories that will work for their experience and audience.
Kylie was also the Senior Commercial Manager of the Dunedin based Cadbury World Tours and Cafe experience for 9 years and now is the Director and part-time guide for a whānau (family) start-up business offering an eco-tourism experience through a Māori cultural lens.
